Council debate webcam and opt for free trial
Taupo District Council have resolved to install a webcam to provide live coverage of Council meetings as well as recording for ‘on-demand’ viewing later. Enlighten Designs, the preferred providers, will ensure that the meetings streamed live are also recorded in their entirety, stored and archived online for on-demand viewing.
Enlighten Designs on expansion trail
Hamilton-based web design company Enlighten Designs has expanded into Auckland due to customer demand in the region. The company is hiring new staff in Auckland and Hamilton and is using a mix of Auckland and Hamilton-based staff to populate the new premises, which will be part of Axon’s site in central Auckland.
Enlighten Designs Win at Microsoft Partner Awards 2009
Enlighten have won the Partnering Award of the Year at the New Zealand Microsoft Partner Awards 2009. Enlighten has won this award for the second year in a row. The awards evening, at which the award category winners were announced, was held last night and played host to New Zealand's leading Information Technology providers.

Windows upgrade a hit in Hamilton
The next upgrade of Microsoft's computer operating system, Windows 7, is a surefire hit with one of New Zealand's biggest website design companies a year before its release. Enlighten Designs, in Victoria St, Hamilton, has been putting the first Beta, or test, version of the replacement for Vista through its paces for a couple of weeks.
Enlighten, Axon win Microsoft’s ‘Partnering Award of the Year'
But it is the ‘Partnering Award of the Year’ that brings with it a particularly satisfying finish to winners Enlighten Designs and Axon . Ironically, and almost poetically, the whizz kids at Enlighten met the successful Axon crew at last year’s Microsoft partner awards when they both entered and were finalists in the same category. A year later, the only finalist category they’re in together is the one they entered jointly – and they’ve won.
Enlighten scoops innovation award
With the obligatory bubbles flowing you could be excused for taking time to wonder just how, in nine short years, a bunch of high school friends and Waikato university graduates have gone from working out of a backyard caravan to partnering with IT giants Microsoft and Hewlett Packard and securing high end nation-wide clients like the National Party and Fonterra.
