Early in 2007 Working In Ltd contacted Enlighten Designs to discuss the re-design and further development of two websites – Opportunities Expo Australia and Opportunities Expo New Zealand. Enlighten were then asked in 2007 to create a third website for Opportunities Expo Canada. Working In is the parent company that runs and organizes the Opportunities Australia, Opportunities New Zealand, Opportunities Canada Expos in the UK and South Africa.
The Opportunities Australia, New Zealand and Canada and Expos are the leading and longest standing employment and migration expos in the United Kingdom specifically targeted to Brits who want to live and work abroad. Working In wanted to have four separate websites that were specifically targeted to the appropriate markets.
It was important the expo websites were informative, helpful and made it easy for people to register or purchase tickets for the various upcoming events. Furthermore, the websites needed to be able to be completely managed by Working In staff and support the current business processes used by the organization.
The Solution
The solution is a combination of custom development and existing systems currently offered by Enlighten Designs. The Vadmin 3.0 Content Management System is employed to allow Working In staff to maintain general text and content across all three expo websites. The Vadmin 3.0 Banner System allows Working In staff to manage sponsors’ logos and track banner impressions and click-throughs.
A custom system developed by Enlighten Designs is used by Working In for managing expo information including descriptions, locations and pricing. The system also captures user information for both registrations and ticket purchases. The implementation of a Direct Payment Solution provides a real time online payment facility for international ticket purchases for any one of the Expos advertised on the websites.
Other features included in the Opportunities Australia, New Zealand and Canada Expo websites are visually appealing image galleries and online videos using Flash video formatting.
The Result
The result is three highly functional and professional looking websites that are easy to use from both an administration and website user’s point of view. The Opportunities Australia, New Zealand and Canada Expo websites are content rich, with an overall impressive design. They focus on their individual target markets while still presenting a strong and consistent brand.
Working In have seamless integration between all three websites and multiple systems. The management of the Opportunities Australia, New Zealand and Canada Expo websites and systems is painless and straightforward and can be performed by staff members of Working In.
