The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year. Awards were classified in various categories, with honorees chosen from a set of more than 3,900 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide. Enlighten Designs was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in bringing data to life with Power BI.

Enlighten partners with multiple global organizations, facilitating, training, and empowering them to leverage the full capabilities of Power BI across numerous geographies and verticals. As part of the Modern Data Journalism Program, Enlighten Designs work closely with media organisations to harness Power BI and uncover data to create impactful stories. Most recently, these included a visualisation that revealed that nine girls between the ages of 12 and 17 are reported missing in Mexico every day. Enlighten Designs also helped the Yakima Herald to uncover the stories of murdered and missing indigenous people of the Yakama Reservation, in a project called ‘The Vanished’.
