WEL Networks were looking to introduce a new electricity retailer to the market - one that provided an easy way for the Raglan/ Whāingaroa community to buy and sell local energy. Raglan Local Energy is about supporting uptake of new energy technologies like solar power and batteries and passing the benefits onto the community.
The billing and invoicing platform consists of the main user-facing public site and portal plus the administrative back office for management and maintenance. It integrates with the backend system at WEL that updates the national electricity registry.
Enlighten’s wealth of experience with other electricity retailer sites meant we already had a stripped down un-themed version available to build on. The benefit to WEL was speed – they launched an entirely new electricity retailer into the marketplace in under 12 weeks.
