2016 marks the ninth year Enlighten was named as a finalist at the annual Microsoft NZ Partner Awards which exist to recognise excellence within the IT industry. The awards received a record number of submissions this year, and we are honoured to be named as finalists in the ‘Data Analytics Partner of the Year’ and in the ‘Education Partner of the Year’ categories.
Over the past nine years, Enlighten has been named as a finalist in a total of seventeen categories at the Microsoft NZ Partner Awards. We are dedicated to consistently going above and beyond our customer’s expectations to deliver innovative and customer focused technology solutions and we feel this been reflected in our consistent finalist nominations and wins that we have achieved over the years.
The Data Analytics Partner of the Year award recognises a partner who delivered a data analytics solution, this year our entry focused on the work we completed for Wintec, one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary education providers. Wintec needed their data to be readily available and easily consumed so that they could make timely decisions around student enrolments however because of their silo-based departments their data was fragmented and unreliable.
We worked with Wintec to create a self-servicing Business Intelligence solution, this enabled Wintec to effectively manage and maintain the data set and ensure one source of the truth is preserved, whilst enabling other users to access and manipulate the data without requiring technical report development skills. The implementation of this work will deliver a positive net revenue gain for Wintec of $4 million with just a 1% increase in student retention.
The Education Partner of the Year award recognises a partner that excels at providing innovative and unique services or solutions, this year our entry focused on the new student portal ‘My Learning’ we completed for Wintec. The portal was built to enhance the student experience while giving them access to all the information they would need for their time at Wintec.
The portal allows students to begin their application on their preferred device and then come back at another time to complete their application on a device of their choice. This interactivity has encouraged students to choose Wintec as their place of study and means that more applications are being submitted because students are no longer required to restart their application.
Customer satisfaction is at an all-time high with scores ranging from the mid to high 90% range since the upgrades were implemented and Wintec has been able to significantly reduce operating costs while improving communications with students.
These awards are a great acknowledgement of effective collaboration between the right team, a client with vision and the best solution, and gaining another year of finalist status will support Enlightens strong reputation as a leader in the industry.
