Techweek26 Event - Six Months of AI at Work. What Enlighten Found

Enlighten Designs is hosting a free Techweek26 event in Hamilton on 20 May 2026. The session covers a year of real AI implementation, sharing genuine results, lessons learned, and honest insights on taking AI from pilot to production. Open to business leaders, developers, and anyone navigating AI in their organisation.

Enlighten Designs is opening the doors at our Hamilton office for a Techweek26 session: AI at Work: Productivity from Experiment to Execution on 20 May.

It’s a bit different from the usual AI conversation. Most AI events talk about what’s possible. This one talks about what’s happened.

Over the past year, the team at Enlighten Designs has been doing something a little more rigorous than running AI pilots and crossing their fingers. They’ve been embedding artificial intelligence across real business operations, measuring the results, building tools from scratch, and just as importantly being honest about the things that didn’t work the way they expected.

Now they’re sharing it all. The wins, the surprises, the mistakes, and the numbers.

What to expect

This isn't a vendor pitch or a slide deck full of frameworks you'll never use. It's an honest, practical conversation from practitioners who are using AI in their daily working lives, with real clients, right here in New Zealand.

On the agenda:

  • What is agentic AI and why it's a bigger shift than just a new tool.
  • How Enlighten takes AI from proof-of-concept to production-ready products, and where human expertise still makes the difference.
  • What AI means for your business through productivity pressure, cost, speed, and where the real risks sit.

  • The AI productivity findings Enlighten has measured from inside their own development work, with real numbers behind the claims.

  • Practical next steps for organisations that want to start without betting everything on it.

There’s also time built in for questions and conversation, because the best part of these sessions is usually the discussion that happens in the room.

Who should come

This session is well suited to anyone who’s trying to figure out the practical side of AI in their organisation, rather than just the theoretical. Specifically:

  • Business leaders and managers who are being asked to make decisions about AI but want more than vendor promises to go on.

  • CIOs and CTOs navigating where AI fits in their technology roadmap.

  • Software developers and technical leads who want to see how AI tools are being used in real development environments.

  • Anyone sitting on an AI pilot that hasn’t quite made it to production yet.

  • People who are early in their AI journey and want to learn from someone who’s further along, including the mistakes faced along the way.

Whether you’re just getting started or already scaling what’s working, there’s something in this session for you.
